Active People Survey
Sport England's Active People Survey provides detailed statistics on sports participation throughout the Country. The first survey results were published in 2006/7 and provided baseline information on which to measure Sport England’s overall target of getting one million people doing more sport by 2012/13.
The latest set of results (published in December 2009) show that the number of adults in England who play sport at least three times a week has reached 6.93 million, continuing the positive upward trend over the past four years.
