Michael Coker: Athletics Development Officer, Sport Hampshire & IoW Graduate UWIC, Cardiff BA Modern English Studies, followed by Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management. Initial career as senior Human Resource professional working for a number of PLCs/Multinationals, including Siemens, HSBC and Pirelli. As an athlete: Junior International at age 19, competed in the 1984, 1988 and 1992 Olympic Trials. 1997 World 400m Hurdles Champion Durban, South Africa, World Masters Championships. 1998 broke European and British age-group records, and European Gold Medal in 4x400m relay at European Masters Championships, Cesanatico, Italy. 2000 – European Masters Championships, Helsinki, Finland. European Champion/Gold Medals in 110m hurdles and 4x400m relay. 2002 – European Championships, Potsdam, Berlin, Germany. European Champion/Gold Medals in 400m Hurdles (British Record) and 4x400m Relay. Ranked No.1 in the World. 2003 – World Masters Championships, Puerto Rico, Central America. Gold Medal 4x400m Relay; and medals in 110m hurdles/400m hurdles. Represented Great Britain in many Masters International matches, and multi–National Champion, and European Indoor Medals. As a Coach: started coaching qualifications in 1997, working through to Level 4. Athletics Development Officer for Hampshire & IOW since 2003, also Head Coach for County Performance Squads. Club Coaching Coordinator for Team Southampton, and personal coach to approx. 70 athletes, many of County, National and International standard. Has worked in schools (State and Independent sectors), Further Education, Clubs, Elite Squads, and teacher training. top of page

Peter Hull MBE- Disability Sports Development Officer, Sport Hamsphire & IoW 'As a retired athlete, having taken part in 2 Paralympic Games and experiencing the pressures involved in achieving excellence from grass roots, I decided to become a sports development officer. Also, as a direct result I have achieved a good quality of life and wanted to give some something back.
