Sport Hampshire and IOW are dedicated to providing clubs with advice and guidance on various aspects of funding, including sources of funding available, project planning and writing successful applications.

Stop Press

Sport England have set up a small grants programme to support local community sport projects which seek to increase participation, sustain participation or develop opportunities for people to excel at their chosen sport.  The grant  is open to any bona fide not-for-profit club or association, statutory body or educational establishment and welcomes applications for any amount between £300 – £10,000. Sports Match The Sport England Sportsmatch programme increases investment in community sport by matching new sponsorship money pound for pound. They can match sponsorship which has been given to an eligible sports body by a company, trust, charity, or private individual to fund projects that promote new participation at grassroots level. Cash 4 Clubs Cash 4 Clubs is a simple scheme aimed at giving community clubs a helping hand and provide the opportunity to raise the money they need to invest in their club. For more information please visit www.cash-4-clubs.com £250, £500 and £1000
Active Women Active Women is one of Sport Englands themed rounds of funding.  It funds projects that are aimed at women in disadvantaged communities and women caring for children under 16. Projects need to demonstrate how they will increase the number of women playing sport from either one or both of these groups. BBC Children in Need – General Grants This grant programme is open to organisations working with disadvantaged children and young people who are 18 years old and under.Your organisation and project must be based in the UK and you need to be a registered charity or other not-for-profit organisation.There are four general grant deadlines each year: 15 January, 15 April, 15 July, 15 October. Community Amateur Sports Club Scheme (CASC) Amateur sports clubs can take advantage of valuable tax relief’s, for more information please click here  
Regional Community Loan Funds Provide loan finance to not-for-profit community organisations.As well as financial support LIF can also provide technical assistance through the organisation ProHelp. This is a national network of architects, accountants, solicitors, public relations and marketing specialists, IT consultants and many others all of whom can provide professional and strategic support free of charge to voluntary and community groups in their local area. £15,000 to £100,000
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation – Grassroots Grants Grassroots Grants is a grant scheme funded by the Government Office for the Third Sector and run locally by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation.The scheme is intended to give small voluntary groups improved access to local funding and more capacity to respond to local issues and needs. There is a total of nearly £2.2 million to award to groups across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton during the scheme which runs from July 2008-March 2011.
